Badger Bus Lines announces workforce reduction, cites loss of MMSD transportation contract 

Badger Bus Lines provided notice yesterday that due to not being awarded the Madison Metro School District (MMSD) student transportation contract for the 2023–24 school year, it will need to reduce its employee workgroup by up to 200 people. 

Affected employees, who worked exclusively in roles that provided contract services to students and families of MMSD, were notified yesterday. The planned workforce reduction will take effect on Friday, Aug. 18.
