Artisan market returns to Waunakee this October

The Waunakee Artisan Market (WAM) will return this year on Oct. 1 with food, music, and local art, according to the Waunakee Tribune. The event will be held in Schumacher Farm County Park from 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

This year, the event will feature over 65 artists from diverse backgrounds, including 10 students, many returning artists, and several emerging artists. Last year’s event saw upwards of 1,000 attendees, and over the past three years, the market has doubled in size.

New to the event this year will be motorized carts driven throughout the market by volunteers to assist those with mobility difficulties in navigating the grounds.

Artists at the event will feature jewelry, woodworking, pottery, custom bags, glass, sculpture, textiles, photography, paintings, and more for sale.

WAM will also feature music from local musicians Mark Croft and Harlan Jefferson. Food carts will be available between 11:30 a.m.–3 p.m. WoW Sammiches, Jason’s Jerk Food, Jakarta Cafe, and Frios Pops will be in attendance, as will Octopi Brewing.
