Appeal denial paves way for south-side apartment development
The Madison City Council smoothed the way for a mixed-income apartment complex on the city’s south side after denying an appeal against the conditional use of a proposed 14,000-square-foot community center that is a part of the project.
The center will be built on an empty lot at 2230 West Broadway, while the 36-unit apartment complex would be part of a larger plan that would replace an existing community center at 1917 Lake Point Drive with townhouses.
