AmFam invests $500K toward new Centro Hispano facility

American Family Insurance has made a $500,000 pledge to Campaign CENTRO, according to a news release. With Centro Hispano celebrating 40 years this year, the organization hopes to wrap up fundraising this winter and welcome the Dane County community to its new home in south Madison.

This gift will help Centro get closer to completing construction on a new building where 7,000-plus individuals seek support each year. Classroom spaces will now be able to better support youth programs, including Centro’s nationally recognized Escalera High School Program. Funds will also support the development of a community kitchen and outdoor plaza and provide seed funds for expanding community programming that prioritizes collaborative workforce strategies in partnership with organizations such as American Family.
