American Girl closing call center

Middleton-based American Girl, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mattel Inc., announced it would be closing its Wilmot, Wis. distribution center on June 29, and its Wilmot call center in the first quarter of 2019, according to a MarketWatch report.

In total, 135 jobs will be affected and workers can apply for other positions within the company. American Girl, a doll and book manufacturer, will shift Wilmot warehouse work to facilities in Middleton and DeForest, which will reportedly add jobs to handle the influx.
