American Girl Benefit Sale to see final run this weekend

The American Girl Benefit Sale is set to end this weekend following nearly four decades in which it raised tens of millions of dollars for nonprofits that benefit children in the Madison area, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.

The annual sale sees between 3,000–7,000 ticket-holders come for donated American Girl dolls and accessories at bargain prices.

Madison Children’s Museum has organized and run the benefit since the 1980s. Due to rising overhead costs, however, and the need for the museum to focus on other large-scale projects, the sale will conclude in 2023.

The sale will take place Saturday–Sunday and be completely in-person for the first time in three years. It will be held at the Alliant Energy Center.
