Alliant Energy Center property open for new business development
In a letter from Dane County Exec Joe Parisi to area business leaders dated February 15, Parisi announced the county is making part of its Alliant Energy Center property available for new business development.
“We have identified four areas of the AEC campus with prime frontage along the John Nolen, Rimrock, and Olin corridors, totaling just under 7 acres,” Parisi wrote.
The county is requesting proposals from anyone looking to bring their business to the Alliant Energy Center campus. Parisi says the county is seeking projects that compliment both the AEC campus and the neighborhood, and a priority is being made to bring in local businesses that will create local jobs.
Proposals will be reviewed through a competitive process including feedback and participation from existing AEC customers, the neighborhood, local businesses, and elected City of Madison and county leaders.
Application materials are available at www.danepurchasing.com under the heading RFP# 116023 “Alliant Energy Center Partial Campus Development.”
