Industrial Media acquires former Advantage Business brands

Industrial Media, a content-marketing and custom-publishing business based in Monona, has acquired five brands formerly held within Advantage Business Marketing’s manufacturing group, according to an article at Manufacturing.net.

The brands — Industrial Distribution, Manufacturing.net, IMPO, Food Manufacturing, and Manufacturing Business Technology — are well aligned with Industrial Media's rapidly growing flagship brand, Industrial Equipment News (IEN), according to company president Tom Lynch.

The acquired titles benefit from strong brand recognition, loyal readership, and significant reach within these vertical markets. “We will use IEN's tremendous growth as a template for these other titles, and we look forward to adding depth to our presence in these industry verticals,” says Lynch, who will guide the relaunch along with co-founder Rich Reiff, the former CEO of Advantage Business Marketing.

Former Advantage editors David Mantey, Jeff Reinke, and Anna Wells will join the new organizations and contribute from a content standpoint.
