Fuegos owner to open Migrants taco restaurant
Paying homage to his former life as a migrant farm worker, Oscar Villarreal plans to open a taco restaurant called Migrants on the Beltline near the Bonfyre American Grille, according to an article in the Wisconsin State Journal.
Villarreal, already the owner of the restaurant Fuegos on Williamson Street, wants Migrants to be a quick — as in service within five minutes — and casual taco restaurant featuring local meats and also vegetables for vegetarians and vegans.
The native of Crystal City, Texas, where his mother worked at a local Del Monte food plant, hopes to open Migrants by November at 3001 West Beltline Highway in the former home of a Silver Mine Subs.
As a youth, Villarreal's family migrated between Texas and Wisconsin.
