UW Health to build new Madison clinic; hires new exec
UW Health has announced plans to build a $255 million clinic at the American Center Business Park, next to its hospital that opened three years ago, according to an article in the Wisconsin State Journal. Construction is expected to start in 2020, with the building opening in 2023 and offering specialty services such as cardiology, dermatology, and oncology.
In related news, UW Health has hired Frederic “Ric” Ransom to fill the newly created title of president of UW Hospitals, Madison region, according to a separate report. Ransom, currently the chief operating officer at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina, will oversee UW Hospital, American Family Children’s Hospital, and UW Health at The American Center.
