More Breese Stevens renovations eyed
From home field of a new pro soccer team, to a concert and events venue, historic Breese Stevens Field has become a proven attraction on East Washington Avenue, and now improvement suggestions will take it even further.
The stadium, built in 1925, is one piece of the renovation pie that is generating new life on East Wash. According to a story in The Capital Times, the city of Madison, which has already committed $1.2 million to renovations for restrooms and concessions, is now mulling plans to add rooftop seating, LED lights, and a seasonal-use hospitality space as part of the third phase of renovations.
Costs are still being tabulated.
