$50M public market planned for Middleton

Middleton breaks ground in December on a $50 million project to bring a public market, housing, and retail to the city.

Treysta Group has secured plans for the project, which will replace softball fields at 7622 Lisa Lane with an 18,000-square-foot market space for 20 food vendors, 263 apartments, and almost 13,000 square feet of retail, as depicted in the renderings below.

The city has already promised $8.48 million in tax incremental financing assistance toward the project, according to a report in the Capital Times.

I think it's hilarious that Treysta/Middleton came up with, planned, and implemented something like this in such a short amount of time while Madison is still tripping over its own feet on a similar project.
