What would you say are the best things about living and working in Dane County?
We are really lucky to have so many awesome live music venues of all shapes and sizes. Whether it’s a small stage at a bar downtown or an awesome outdoor patio in one of the suburbs, there is always an opportunity to listen to live music on most nights during the summer.
Do you have any secret talents or abilities that people would be surprised to discover?
I spent five seasons playing the trumpet in the University of Wisconsin Marching Band. In addition to the trumpet, I also play guitar, bass guitar, and dabble in the drums. Music has always been a big part of my life, and I can’t say enough good things about my time in the UW Band. The experience and the lessons learned during that time have been extremely useful to me in my life and career.
What are your guilty pleasures?
I love everything having to do with music no matter what genre, as long as the music itself is good. I will listen to any kind of music from classic to country to rap to rock. My Sirius XM subscription is the best decision I ever made (after marrying my lovely wife, of course). My other guilty pleasure is the tortilla chips from Pasqual’s. No explanation needed. They’re just crazy good.
