Micro-lodges in jeopardy at Garver
Micro-lodging at the Garver Feed Mill may not happen now that Baum Revision has missed another important deadline, according to a story in The Capital Times. The developer had until March 5 to submit proof of financing for the second phase of the project that includes 50 micro-lodges, or small, short-term rental units.
Madison signed a development agreement with Baum Revision in 2017 to overhaul the crumbling mill between South Fair Oaks Avenue and Olbrich Gardens. The main structure opened to much fanfare last fall, but the micro-lodges on the rest of the acreage are now in question.
While the current development agreement between the city and Baum Revision has expired, the city is still open to working with Baum Revision on a hospitality project at Garver.
