What would you say are the best things about living and working in Dane County?
The physical geography and beauty of the rural southern Wisconsin region is unmatched. From the bustle of the Capitol, UW–Madison, and health care and technology campuses, to the farmers market, UW sports, and the peace and serenity of rural communities, the diversity of the people and all we have access to makes it the best place to live in the U.S.
Do you have any secret talents or abilities that people would be surprised to discover?
This one is definitely not a secret! My love of all things canine has been with me since the day I was born. As founder of Czar’s Promise, a Madison-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support for canines and companion animals diagnosed with cancer, as well as funding pediatric and canine cancer research here within our own community, dogs are my favorite topic of conversation!
What are your guilty pleasures?
Very simple: I love a Wisconsin snowstorm. Standing in the blowing snow with my dogs, feeling the cold wind against my face, and breathing the air is, for me, the perfect moment.
