Soglin proposes fining businesses for running AC

Madison Mayor Paul Soglin has proposed fining businesses that run air conditioning while keeping their doors and windows open in a move, he says, to fight climate change.

According to a Wisconsin State Journal report, an initial fine would be $50 and could increase to $250 or more for multiple offenses.

The Madison City Council is expected to consider the ordinance tonight (Jan. 8).

Soglin is a moron. An absolute moron. Are there not bigger issues in Madison? This particular issue does not make a 'broken windows' theory come to fruition, and Madison is going to the toilet. Start with Visions Soggy.

Who is going to enforce this? Another sub committee needs to be formed at City of Madison expense to get a task force of G men out on the street protecting us from ourselves?

Everyone should conserve more. What kind of car does Soglin drive around in? Just curious.

Soglin has been buying steak dinners for himself with his salary provided by tax payers. His problem is, just like every politician everywhere, is it is not his money that will be spent to do his Air-Conditioning task force. SO WHO CARES HOW MUCH IT COSTS. Right?
