Phoenix Neutron Imaging Center opens

Phoenix LLC, a Monona-based nuclear technology company known for developing and building the strongest fusion neutron generators in the world, hosted a grand opening ceremony for its state-of-the-art neutron imaging center in Fitchburg on Oct. 11. The Phoenix Neutron Imaging Center (PNIC), which started construction one year ago, will be the first industrial radiography facility to provide both X-ray and neutron imaging services. Phoenix also plans to break ground on its new 50,000-square-foot corporate headquarters, slated for occupancy in 2020, on the same plot later this year.
