Madison-based BouMatic fires CEO, launches suit
Angry that he didn’t receive a bonus for three years, Michael A. Mills, the former president and CEO of BouMatic, a Madison-based milking equipment company, allegedly retaliated by deleting important company files on his company-provided computer, among other charges, according to a report in the Wisconsin State Journal.
Company owners filed a lawsuit against Mills, who was fired after working for BouMatic and Madison One Holdings, one of its holding companies, since 2004. Mills also served as the personal attorney to BouMatic owner John P. Kotts, even as the relationship soured.
The suit, filed in Madison, alleges Mills also tried to turn employees against the company and encouraged key managers to leave after he was ousted. Company officials are seeking unspecified damages.
