Lindsay, Stone & Briggs to close
After 41 years in business, Lindsay, Stone & Briggs, one of Madison’s most respected marketing firms, is winding down operations over the coming weeks. LSB, which became a national leader in digital advertising and branding, has informed clients of its decision, according to Amy Rohn, the firm’s director of public relations.
In an email sent to In Business, Rohn says the firm has faced a perfect storm of clients leaving due to mergers and acquisitions or changes in strategy, existing clients shifting to less predictable project-based work, and key employees being lured away for other opportunities in a tight labor market.
“We were hoping to turn the situation around but phasing down our work ended up being the best option,” Rohn states. “It impacts nine very talented and dedicated staff here in the Madison market.”
LSB was founded by Marsha Lindsay in 1978 and eventually developed a renowned branding conference known as Brandworks University, which was discontinued in 2015. With the mission statement “We Jumpstart Brands,” it served a variety of local, state, and national clients.
“We remain proud of all we’ve done for our clients and the community over the past four decades and thankful for more than 40 years in business,” Rohn says.
