No criminal intent in Sun Prairie blast
An investigation into the cause of a deadly July 10 blast in Sun Prairie has determined there was no criminal intent. It was a miscommunication between utility contractors and subcontractors that resulted in the location of a gas line being improperly marked, according to a story in the Wisconsin State Journal.
Volunteer Fire Department Capt. Cory Barr was killed in the explosion, which destroyed several other businesses in Sun Prairie’s downtown.
