Judge rules in Taco Bell liquor case
A judge has ruled in favor of a liquor license for a Taco Bell Cantina restaurant on State Street.
According to a brief message from Greg Flynn, chairman/CEO of Flynn Restaurant Group, the Hon. Rhonda Lanford ruled in favor of granting a liquor license for the restaurant. “We look forward to continuing to serve the residents and visitors of Madison, WI, with the option of beer and wine,” Flynn’s statement read.
Last April, on a 12–7 vote, the Madison City Council failed to override Mayor Paul Soglin’s veto of Taco Bell Cantina’s liquor license request and Taco Bell sued the city.
Flynn Restaurant Group is the largest franchise operator in the country, according to the release. Among other well-known restaurant brands (Applebee’s, Arby’s, Panera), Flynn owns 280 Taco Bell restaurants.
