New business focused on zero-emission transportation
Zerology, a new zero-emissions transportation company that will employ electric vehicles, has officially launched in Madison.
The concept of local businessman Shree Kalluri, the company will pilot a vanpool service for schools and businesses, and later on it will provide car-sharing for residents of multi-family condominium and apartment communities.
Kalluri founded and built Forte Research into a technology stalwart in the health care industry, and at this stage of his career, he wanted to make an impact on sustainability and the quality of life in Madison. Zerology, which bills itself as an integrated mobility startup, will employ a fleet of electric vehicles with the goal of making Madison a cleaner and more livable city.
“Transportation is a huge issue for Madison,” Kalluri notes. “Our roads are over-crowded and climate change is accelerating at an alarming rate. My team and I are building Zerology to alleviate both.”
Through its mobile app, Zerology also plans to link zero-emissions mobility options with other public and private transportation systems, including Madison Metro, Uber, Lyft, and B-Cycle.
