La Crosse pledges 100% clean energy

The city of La Crosse is the fifth city around the state of Wisconsin to commit to be 100 percent clean, renewable energy, after the City Council adopted a resolution to do so by 2050.

NFIB lobbies against minimum wage hike

The National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) invited 150 small business owners from Wisconsin and around the country to Washington, D.C this week to meet with their Congressional representatives, hoping they’ll oppose H.R. 582, the Raise the Wage Act, which increases the national minimum wage to $15 per hour over five years and increases that threshold every subsequent year.
