Giant Meteor can defeat Hillary

I'm an alternate delegate to the Republican National Convention later this month. I am committed to Giant Meteor.

Only Giant Meteor is certain to defeat Hillary on November 8 — all the while smashing any remaining secret e-mail servers she may harbor.

Giant Meteor also would:

  • Stop illegal immigration without building an expensive wall
  • Defeat ISIS
  • End gridlock in Washington
  • Get guns off the street
  • Cancel the next anti-Madison police rally, and
  • Take Britain out of Europe (and Europe out of Europe).

That would probably would make global warming worse but we can’t have everything.

Giant Meteor is polling about as well as Hillary’s e-mail server and Trump’s Twitter account.

The jig, is it up?

Michael Grebe says he wants no part of a Donald Trump coronation and so he relinquished his delegate slot at the convention in Cleveland. Who is Michael Grebe? He’s only the president of the Milwaukee-based Bradley Foundation (with ALEC and the Koch Bros, the bête noire of liberals). Grebe chaired all three of Scott Walker's gubernatorial races and his presidential bid. He is former chairman of the state GOP, and counsel to the Republican National Committee, etc. So, yeah, he’s the “establishment,” the same establishment that turned Wisconsin Republican and walk-the-talk conservative.

It’s not just Grebe. Former Gov. Scott McCallum and Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke aren’t going either, due to their distaste for Trump.

So much for fighting the good fight, which makes me doubt the Free the Delegates movement will succeed.

Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, is quoted saying he can’t support a guy who implicated the father of his best friend Ted Cruz in the assassination of JFK. Just last week, the Trump campaign trashes the Speaker of the House and chairman of the convention, via Facebook. It links to a bogus poll from a bogus website that mimics an actual anti-Trump website that purports to show Ryan losing his House seat.

“Many anti-Trump delegates have already bowed out of the convention, further tilting the attendees toward the mogul.” — Politico.

Trump continues to push people off the cliff and then blame them for falling.

Meanwhile, a new poll from NBC News suggests other high-profile Republicans would perform better in a general election against Hillary than would presumptive GOP nominee Trump.

No more Mr. Nice Guy?

Are you surprised by how unpopular County Exec Joe Parisi is with the Dane County Board? Not conservatives — there aren’t enough to worry about — but his fellow liberals.

Observers tell me that Parisi rarely interacts with supes. Instead, sends his 6’-3” enforcer Joshua Wescott to bully members.

Parisi snubbed five liberals by not appointing them to any commissions. One of them was past board chairman John Hendrick. The Progressive Dane supervisor told Forward Lookout, “It appears that the County Executive wants to send a message to the legislative branch by penalizing county board leaders.”

What is really forehead smacking is that Parisi brought suit against the Dane County Towns Association without prior approval of the board, which is required. The county board subsequently voted down approval, forcing the exec to withdraw the lawsuit.

What’s more, Parisi’s lawsuit was punitive and ill advised. The issue was the towns’ new ability to withdraw from county zoning, thanks to state legislation, and whether that portion of the county tax levy used for zoning should be shifted to towns that opt out. Judge John Markson ordered the county to pay the Towns Association’s $10,757 legal bill defending the suit.

“I told the county board when this was brought up that the county was going to lose this suit,” Supervisor Ronn Ferrell told us. “I will be asking lots of questions.”

Parisi always had the reputation as a likable guy — maybe until you have to work with him.

Pardon me but don’t investigators present their facts and let the prosecutor decide whether to bring charges? That is what the Dane County Sheriff’s Department did when it investigated the 2011 incident when Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley came flying at Justice David Prosser with fists upraised. Just the facts. The special prosecutor reviewed those facts and decided to charge neither Bradley nor Prosser.

Toothpaste is out of the tube. There is no good fight. The party standard-bearer is exactly who the goofy Republican voting coalition has chosen. And posting pointless, unicorn, rainbow-glitter, what-if polls about other candidates' chances is an exercise in futility. Wipe the slate clean at the convention---Who is this roiling pot they gonna agree on?

Wait. Giant meteor will also cancel the Packer's season.

On the other hand, it will also take out the Bears and the Vikings; so it's not all bad.

Hopefully this Giant Meteor would take out IB so we don't have to see Blaska's dribble published anymore.

Holy cow!!! I just read that ROJO actually signed a letter supporting something. Asked the FCC for money to bring broadband service to rural areas. In over 5 years he has done nothing, but now this. Amazing. That meteor must have hit close to home. I,m sure that there will be pushback from the Wis gop on this with some nonsense about federal over-reach, etc. But to see ROJO's name on a letter with Baldwin's trying to do something for our state is jaw-dropping.

Giant Meteor would also end our dependence on foreign oil, and prevent Iran from getting a nuke.

Also you could argue that it would repeal obamacare.
