Speaker Ryan counter-punches Trump

Cause and effect or vice versa? You decide. The Daily Beast reports:

Despite an early jump in murders and shootings in the new year, the Chicago Police Department’s investigative stops are down 80 percent and fewer guns are being confiscated, DNA Info reports. Since Jan. 1, there have been 72 more shootings — a 218 percent increase — and 10 more murders than there were in the same time period during 2015. Mayor Rahm Emanuel said in 2015 that officers had become “fetal” over fear that they would end up in newspapers or charged with a crime.

Or, just maybe, Chicago is more murderous because of reduced police presence, aka: the Ferguson Effect.

Stage 4 Walker derangement syndrome. That is the diagnosis for the Corporation that Speaks in the Progressive Voice (but thinks in the past tense). Biopsy this editorial: “Scott Walker's unpardonable disregard for his duty in Avery case.” Walker should pardon Steven Avery? The murderous lowlife hasn’t even asked for a pardon!

Banned in Britain — Watched C-Span’s coverage Monday of a British Parliament committee’s debate over banning Donald Trump from the U.K. for his comments on banning Muslims. There’s irony for you. The petition sought to do that which it purports to condemn: to prohibit entry to someone because of his beliefs. Religion, after all, is a system of beliefs. The P.C. movement is not confined to the Colonies.

Hail Mary, but cover Larry! Is any team more entertaining than the Green Bay Packers? 2016 resolutions:

  • Weight Watchers for Eddie Lacy.
  • No training camp for Jordy Nelson.
  • Trade draft picks for a run-blocking, pass-catching stud at tight end.
  • Thank James Jones for his services; play more Jeff Janis and Jared Abbrederis.
  • Let Aaron Rodgers call the plays.

You know it’s cold outside when you go outside and it’s cold.

"self-aborbed Tea Party purists"? Is this a case of you leaving the Tea Party or the Tea Party leaving you?

Dave: On gun free liability ...

Let's say your proposal somehow becomes law. Does that mean that if a gun toting Rep from the West Bend area carries into a shopping mall and in the process of supposedly self-defending himself from gun-toting gang bangers takes out a few innocent bystanders, is he or the business liable as well? Maybe we all need guns and if we feel the need to protect ourselves, there is no liability for anyone. Like the Chicago police like to say:I feared for my life, so I shot.

"Watched C-Span’s coverage Monday..."

Well, never let it be said that you're not leading an exciting life."

No such thing as a run-blocking pass-catching tight end. One or the other.

To give the Brits their due, the speakers who opposed a ban on allowing Trump into the sceptered isle were more numerous and more articulate than those advocating one. I'd like to see C-Span host a debate on whether "safe spaces" on college campuses violate the First Amendment's protection of free speech (They do, unequivocally, but I'd still like to hear pious academics tie themselves in knots explaining why their little world deserves an exemption).

Curious to see how the sanctimonious liberals who are weeping into their Chardonnay over the (richly deserved) fate of Wisconsin's premiere scumbag will respond to the torrent of facts now coming out--all pointing to his guilt and all left out of the Netflix whitewash--sorry, documentary. Oceans of tears for a pathological killer, not a drop for his victim and her family.

If by some miracle the mayor of Chicago were a Republican rather than the Current Occupant's favorite lapdog, the media would be hounding him nonstop to resign.

On a much brighter note, it's exactly one year till this country is officially Obama-free!

But wait! The coin NEVER FLIPPED!
Oh what the hell, we've changed our mind — we're going for the 2-point conversion.

I agree with you, Blaska. Paul Ryan will insure that a sufficient supply of Mexican and Central American illegals will be available to staff Wisconsin dairy farms. Trump must be unhinged to think that Americans can manage the country without a constant stream of foreigners to do jobs that Americans will not do. Americans are just so damn lazy and clueless.

Trump just eloped with Alaska's version of Vicki McKenna. I just saw it on my teevee!

Shut down the Wisconsin Economic Disaster and Corruption loan business? How is scooter expected to re-pay his donors? Is he now fighting Vos who wants to give them more taxpayer money? This would certainly hurt scoots squirt-gun like focus on jobs. How about reporting on how becky and wedc folks trip to Asia went.

Weird...I mostly drink Rye Whiskey, and I’m prett sure Avery did it ...the second time. Not that into his original framing at the hands of the cops. and frankly, they framed him the second time, even though he did it. Kind of like how the LAPD framed OJ, even though he did it. Oj walked because of that, as the ....cough....humble squire may recall. One should be concerned when lying by a group of cops is so routine and reflexive, that they do it even when they don’t need to.
