Scott Walker is governor and Wisconsin skies still not falling!

An inconveniently timed study conducted by The Pew Charitable Trusts says Wisconsin state employees have the second-most-generous health insurance plan in the nation — even after Act 10!

Nationally, state health plans picked up 92% of enrollee health care costs (accounting for deductibles). Wisconsin picks up 97%. (Only Connecticut picked up more, at 98%.)

The average premium for state employees in Wisconsin totals $1,331 a month; taxpayers picked up 87%. This is what would be termed a “platinum plan” under Obamacare. Nationally, premiums for state employees were $963 a month, with taxpayers paying 84% of the total.

blaska,

what a bunch of bull.

you sure know how to spin.

I'd be proud of that.

bottom line is walker has not reached a pledge, that got him elected. period, no spin.

if I remember correctly he never ran on ACT 10, correct.

so how about spinning the truth once in a while.

Keep spinning. I expect things on this blog to get downright bizarre if the race remains a dead heat headed into October. Like, next level craziness. Up will be down, cats will be dogs, Rodgers will be a Bear. Don't believe me? Mary Burke has already been targeted repeatedly on this blog for her good work in the community and at Trek, a gem of the state and a model for small business people to follow, all because she's got a D next to her name. Wisconsin's economy is not recovering as quickly as other states and this will not be reflected by the income number. Raise your hand if your private sector wage has increased beyond the rate of inflation since Walker took office. Blaska, your public pension doesn't count.

And speaking of Politfact and Pew, David, don't forget that it turned out to be almost true when the governor said, "Our pension system is the only one in the country that’s 100 percent funded." Turns out it was slightly below 100%. How dare he?

Cries of austerity from state employees show that they don't know what austerity really is. 87% of 1331 is a big chunk of change that taxpayers have to pick up.
Walker did a pretty small reform with Act 10 and it saved billions. Imagine the billions that could be given back to the people of Wisconsin if real reform happened in this state (channeling Steve Prestegard, Wisconsin taxes are way too high - 5th highest in the nation).

What you forgot to mention is the lower pay public servants get in WI compared, apples to apples, in other states and the private sector. Numerous studies have been done with similar results. And you need to compare total compensation, not just one part of it to make any reasonable judgement. But then those facts wouldn't look good to your fan base of 13.

Too bad libbers don't hold their guys to their pledges. O-blame-O pledged to reduce the debt and deficit, get us out of Iraq, etc, etc. That worked well, didn't it? They even reelected the fool.

I'm tired of hearing about Obama.

Wisconsin isn't even a blip on his radar.

this is about our governor, you know, the one that should be working in our state trying to at least meet his electoral promise.

I'm tired of his lies and excuses.

let's just say he has done more harm than good for this state.

you'll notice it most when he is out of office and most likey blame it on some lib ??????

So it's Obama's fault that walker can't meet his promise? Poor attempt at diversion...

As long as we're talking statistics on the economy, we should mention that Dear Leader Comrade Obama has liberated the American household from 23% of their earning power since assuming power. Clearly that eclipses the paltry by comparison effort of Scott Walker via Act 10.

The Progressive Nightmare:
Once Scott Walker handily defeats Mary Burke on Nov. 4, there is plenty of time for Team Walker to begin the run for the White House in 2016. And there isn't a single thing Progressives can do to prevent it from happening. They're too busy throwing Hillary Clinton under the bus in favor of confirmed moon-bat and faux Indian princess, Elizabeth Warren.

If Walker is nominated for the top spot at the 2016 national convention, he would most assuredly win. Two more years of President Caligula golfing his way into US history as the worst President ever will seal the deal for a Walker Renaissance that begins Jan. 20, 2017.
