Give us your best story pitch in person!

Give us your best story pitch in person!
How often do you get a chance to promote your company one-on-one with a business editor or radio talk show host?

Tomorrow is your best chance, at the In Business Expo & Conference at the Alliant Energy Center, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Jan Wilson will be at the IB booth for much of the day taking story ideas – she’ll have a laptop and she’ll be taking notes for consideration by the editorial board for our print and Web readerships.

She’ll be interested in hearing who you think should be featured as an Executive Profile, what start-up company would be interesting to our readership, what company has an interesting story for our Web visitors, etc. So bring your elevator pitch with you and stop by the booth – not only to pitch your ideas, but also to earn extra points for BoothTag.

Likewise, I’d like to meet you – or greet you, if we’ve already met – and hear your ideas for an upcoming radio program for In Business with Jody and Joan. Joan Gillman will be joining me at the IB booth area, where we’ll take turns listening to your story pitches for our business radio audience!

Bring business cards for both opportunities, and also bring contact information for the people you think would make good interviews. We’ll want names, titles, company names, phone numbers, and email addresses for anyone you suggest.

Another surprise for the expo floor – a photo booth! Stop by and have your picture taken with friends for FREE! It’s the newest offering at cool events, and we have partnered with Focus Photobooths to add this extra dimension of FUN! And we’ll get copies of every photo to use for future publicity, so it’s another way for you to capture our attention at the fair!

Also, here’s another surprise hint: If you missed our deadline to pre-register, to save the $35 door registration fee, I’m going to make this special offer – download our registration form at MadisonBusinessExpo.com, fill it out, and bring it with you tomorrow, and I’ll waive the registration fee onsite, too.

I don’t want any barriers between you and a world-class trade show, with opportunities to network and enjoy a Battle of the (Executive) Bands – and to visit more than 100 vendor booths to expand your awareness of area business services and merchants ready to help you grow your business. So with free registration, it’s a great opportunity to make the expo a company-wide outing – and BoothTag is your platform to make it a business opportunity to network and generate business leads of your own!

So pre-register NOW by printing the form to bring with you (if you aren’t one of the thousand-plus folks who have already pre-registered!), grab some extra business cards, remember to bring a smart phone for booth tag, and practice that elevator speech! We want to welcome you to the IB family of business partners and learn more about your business TOMORROW, so make sure the IB booth is on your list of places to be.
