2nd Annual Frozen Assets Festival

The 2nd annual Frozen Assets Festival drew roughly 5,000 people to The Edgewater Plaza and Lake Mendota over the three-day event Feb. 5–7. Expanding from one day to three days, this family-friendly festival allowed people to enjoy free outdoor activities, as well as experience how wonderful Madison’s lakes can be, even when they are frozen. By the numbers, an estimated 5,200 cups of free hot chocolate were poured, over 2,000 marshmallows were roasted, and more than 1,000 people skated on The Edgewater rink.
