14 firms compete for Lake Monona waterfront project

The city of Madison’s request for designs to better connect the Capitol Square and downtown neighborhoods to Lake Monona has resulted in 14 responses, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. Companies that responded have crafted designs for high-profile projects such as Chicago’s Riverwalk and Navy Pier, and The High Line in New York City. The city hopes to transform the waterfront area from Williamson Street to Olin Park into a “signature park.”
