Accountant steals $700k from client business

Between 2015 and 2016, 31-year-old McFarland accountant Sarah R. May allegedly stole nearly $700,000 from a Monroe-based client, writing unauthorized checks to herself and her accounting firm, Precision Accounting.

She has been charged with 23 counts of theft in a business setting and 12 counts of forgery, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.

Oh my gosh! This is such a travesty. Shame, shame, shame on her!! I am so thankful for the honesty and integrity of the CPA for my business, Kevin Fischer, at Honkamp & Krueger, who questions even me as the business owner. I love that.

Wow, hopefully the business can recoup the stolen money. Not fair to hard working, honest people.

How do you steal $700 HUNDRED THOUSAND, and be able to look your client/victim in the eye for business meetings? She must be soul-free?

Has Ms. May already been convicted? Earlier anonymous posters must KNOW she has already been proven guilty. Let's please hear the whole story.

Hmmm, I guess we will see what the verdict is, won't we. The last time I checked, I know of nobody in my peer group who is up for 35 felonies. If she is innocent, I guess she must have very poor luck and we all look forward to her being found not guilty then.
