PrintRockwell completes purchase of Chinese business unit
Milwaukee-based Rockwell Automation has announced the completion of its acquisition of the medium voltage drives business of Harbin Jiuzhou Electric Co., Ltd., a Chinese company that has served as Rockwell Automation’s contract manufacturer for seven years.
The purchase enables Rockwell Automation to design, engineer and manufacture medium voltage drives and power solutions for a broader base of Chinese and other customers throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Rockwell’s medium voltage drives business is one of its fastest-growing units.
The company employs more than 1,900 people in China, and more than 6,000 Chinese students are trained annually through Rockwell Automation laboratories.
