The number of distressed properties sold in Dane County fell to 21.8% in September, down from 22.8% in August, according to the South Central Wisconsin MLS. It was the ninth straight month the number of distressed properties has remained below 30%, but the numbers remain historically high. Distressed properties are those that are in or near foreclosure when sold.
