Home sales rebound in October

According to the Wisconsin REALTORS Association, statewide existing home sales increased 4.9% in October compared to October 2016, but a tight inventory continues to drive median prices higher, now at $175,000.

Dane County’s median home price, however, increased 9.5% year over year, and is now at $265,000, up from $241,900 in 2016.

Sales in Dane County also paced ahead of October 2016 by 10.3%, with 630 sales recorded compared to 571 a year ago.

This is all great, but what is the state doing to keep up with the additional traffic on the roads caused by all these new developments. Shouldn't the developers of all these new developments start contributing to road improvements. Madison/Dane County cannot sustain the growth without additional road improvements. I drive Mineral Point Road everyday and it is bumper to bumper from Cherry Wood to Pleasant View Road.
