Cellular Dynamics International receives $7 million NIH contract
Madison-based Cellular Dynamics International (CDI) received a three-year contract worth up to $7 million from the National Institutes of Health Center for Regenerative Medicine to provide human-induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cell lines and terminally differentiated tissue cells from patient populations. CDI, founded by Dr. James Thomson in 2004, has become the world’s largest commercial producer of iPS cell lines and tissue cells.
