Will Midwest Express fly again?

Last August, a Fox Valley businessman, Curt Drumm, vowed to bring Wisconsin’s own Midwest Express Airlines back to the state. The airline, which for years was known for its two-by-two leather seats and chocolate chip cookies baked on board, was purchased by Republic Airlines in 2009 and merged into Frontier Airlines a year later.

The Milwaukee Business Journal reports that a private stock offering has been filed with the Security and Exchange Commission by a group of industry executives including Drumm, president of Manitowoc-based Lakeshore Aviation, who are beginning the process of bringing the airline back. They recently completed a $750,000 fundraising round and will start another one soon.

If they are successful, Midwest Express could be flying to Midwest destinations by 2020.

Midwest far ourpreformed all other airlines serving the midwest. It was great! The cookies were ot the greatest, but their smell on the flight was yummy.

This would be most welcome. My favorite airline by far! Hope they would service Madison and not just stick to Milwaukee.

I agree about MW Express. It was the best airline. I also hope that they serve Madison like they did in the past. They were also the only ones who flew from Madison to Milwaukee at a reasonable price. Now, if you want to fly to Milwaukee for a connection, you have to go to Chicago first and then they charge almost $300. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
