Augmented reality firm opens

After working remotely for Rapid Imaging Software in New Mexico for 15 years, Mount Horeb native David Geissler has purchased the augmented reality company from Mike Abernathy, its retired founder, and moved the headquarters to his hometown, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.

The company uses drone technology to enhance live images. Its software has been used by the U.S. military and NASA, and can monitor any number of situations from above, from agricultural to construction to natural disasters.

Geissler, now the company’s CEO, is reportedly looking to hire five to 10 employees over the next two years.
