Women's Entrepreneurship Day

The first annual Women's Entrepreneurship Day conference at Monona Terrace featured two keynotes, business resource booths, and a diverse and inclusive group of presenters ranging from the UW's Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship to a stand-up comedian who spoke about the success matrix. Best-selling author Allison Liddle opened the conference with "Life Under Construction," while Susan Lipp, president and chair of Full Compass Systems, the second largest woman-owned business in Wisconsin, was the afternoon keynote presenter. The sold-out event was attended by 400 people who were given the tools, network, and road map to grow their businesses, create jobs, and access capital.
