Agrace to provide home care
Fitchburg-based Agrace will begin providing home care on Sept. 4, in part to help offset declining Medicare reimbursements, according to a story in the Wisconsin State Journal.
The service, Age at Home, will provide nonmedical services such as housekeeping, transportation, and personal and grooming care, but will not be covered by health insurance or Medicare. Some long-term care insurance policies may cover the service.
The extra revenue will help support Agrace’s core hospice and palliative care mission, as well as its Agrace Grief Support Center.
